WHAT IF I’M CLAUSTROPHOBIC?Our cabins are 8 ft. long, 4.5 ft. wide, and 6.5 ft. tall. You’re always in control of your environment. Even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems. The tank’s door never locks, so you can always open and close it, or get out at anytime. Controls for lights are in the cabin while you float; you are in control.
-
DO I GET WRINKLY AFTER FLOATING?Nope! Actually your skin becomes silky smooth afterwards because your body absorbs the Magnesium in the Epsom Salts (MgSOâ‚„) with most of us being deficient in it anyways. Magnesium also helps absorb calcium which is important for bone health, maintains the electrical signals important for normal heart rhythm which may lower the risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease, and is a cofactor for GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) which calms your Central Nervous System and is proven to relieve anxiety, depression and insomnia.
-
CAN MORE THAN ONE PERSON FLOAT IN THE SAME TANK?Only one person per tank. 2 person tanks do exist but would take away from the sensory deprivation experience. Bumping into each other during a float would be very distraction and may prevent full relaxation. 2 people are able to float at the same time in separate tanks if you'd like to come together.
-
SHOULD I WEAR A BATHING SUIT WHILE FLOATING?No, wearing a bathing suit is not recommended while you float. The high volume of salt will likely damage your bathing suit and sometimes fibres can break off of the bathing suit which can negatively affect our system. The rooms are completely private and the showers are built in, so you can comfortably enjoy your experience.
-
IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION TO FLOATING?No, anyone can float as long as they are mobile enough to step in and out of our float tanks. For children under 12 years old, we recommend 30 minute float sessions.
-
IS FLOATATION THERAPY SAFE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN?Floatation therapy can be safe for pregnant women, but it's important to consult with a healthcare provider before trying it. Some healthcare providers recommend avoiding floatation therapy during the first trimester of pregnancy due to the increased risk of nausea and dizziness associated with early pregnancy. However, many pregnant women are able to safely enjoy floatation therapy during later stages of pregnancy, with the approval of their healthcare provider. It's important to inform the staff at the float center of your pregnancy and any associated health concerns, and to follow any guidelines or restrictions provided by your healthcare provider.
